Level 3 : history of orchestration, orchestration for the contemporary orchestra (Boulez, Messiaen, Ligeti..), analysis of examples from music literature

Course Objectives

Develop the ability to color with and combine instruments and groups.

The student progressively masters the knowledge and skills required for the chosen musical specialisation, using methodical frameworks, artistic and scientific sources, provided exercises, and musical examples from the relevant repertoire, all adapted to the educational level. (LO1–5)

The student individually demonstrates, in a progressive manner, the ability to apply artistic and practice-oriented frameworks and craft-based knowledge, supported by relevant scientific and artistic sources and practical examples, within the context of a sustainable artistic presentation/performance. (LO6–10)

The student independently develops a fully-fledged artistic product based on an authentic and well-founded artistic vision and communicates about it effectively. He/she reflects from a critical-artistic perspective, with an awareness of lifelong professional development, on their own work in relation to the music world and the broader socio-cultural context. (LO11–14)
